About the Neighbourhood Plan

The Neighbourhood Plan will affect everyone in Yarnfield and Cold Meece

Without a Neighbourhood Plan in place, any proposed development in the parish will be determined in accordance with the Stafford Borough Council Local Plan, generally speaking without specific policies for the parish. The Local Plan covers the period up to 2040.

The plan will cover the both Yarnfield and Cold Meece and follows the parish boundary.

Neighbourhood Plan Boundary

A Neighbourhood plan offers us an opportunity to define a level of detail which is specific to our own area. After an approval process, the detail in the Neighbourhood Plan will sit alongside Stafford Borough Council’s Local Plan and allows us to have a measure of local control over development which occurs here. It means that we can really make a difference to how the parish develops over the next 18 years up till 2040.
